Our Commitment to the Community
For us, doing business means taking on a responsibility that goes beyond production activities. We believe that success is truly sustainable only when it is accompanied by care, respect and active contribution to the community and the territory. Our social commitment stems from the same corporate culture that guides every decision we make: integrity, awareness and responsibility.
We support organizations that operate with seriousness and transparency in areas that are fundamental to collective well-being. For years, we have supported scientific research with the Umberto Veronesi Foundation and promoted the spread of a culture of prevention, convinced that investing in knowledge means making a concrete contribution to the future of society.
Alongside this commitment, we have long been close to San Patrignano, a social organization that since 1978 has represented a virtuous model of recovery from addiction and drug prevention. Founded with the goal of offering concrete opportunities to young people struggling with addiction, the community has welcomed over 27,000 people over time and currently hosts more than 850 young people, providing them free of charge with housing, healthcare and legal assistance, education and professional training, as well as an educational path based on respect, responsibility and a spirit of solidarity. At San Patrignano, each person is considered unique, with potential to be rediscovered and enhanced. The recovery path is not limited to overcoming addiction but also aims at full reintegration into society through professional training in the community’s many workshops and production sectors. Since 1980, thousands of people have been able to replace prison sentences with rehabilitation programs, turning a social cost into an opportunity for individual and collective rebirth. Since 1997, the community has been recognized by the United Nations as an NGO with special consultative status with ECOSOC, confirming the international value of its work.
Our support is also expressed through initiatives that combine active participation and solidarity. For example, during the 2025 Milano Relay Marathon, as part of the Milan Marathon, Manifattura del Seveso chose to run alongside WeWorld Onlus, fielding two teams in support of the Women’s Spaces: places where women experiencing violence or particularly vulnerable situations are welcomed and supported every day. Turning the race into a concrete act of solidarity meant contributing to strengthening programs that help women regain confidence, independence and new opportunities, supporting them toward a life free from violence. “We are grateful to Manifattura del Seveso for sharing this important solidarity relay with us: their commitment allows us to stand alongside many women seeking a new beginning,” said Claudia Conte, Head of Corporate Fundraising Events at WeWorld. Participation in the relay represents for us a concrete sign of social responsibility and highlights the importance of shared action in the fight against gender-based violence.
Finally, through the InScatola – The Taste of Inclusion project, we also chose to transform even a symbolic gesture such as Christmas gift-giving into an opportunity for inclusion and enhancement of people, strengthening the connection between social awareness and corporate culture.
For us, these are not occasional initiatives, but choices consistent with who we are as a company. With each project, we want to give continuity to our values by transforming them into tangible and measurable actions. Because we believe that a responsible company is also one capable of building relationships, generating trust and leaving a positive mark over time.
