Manifattura del Seveso is a leading manufacturer of covering materials for bookbinding, stationery, corporate image, luxury packaging. Our environmentally friendly products are recyclable, composed with natural base fabrics and backing papers that meet the FSC standars. Our responsible production cycle drives us to the continual development of new green materials.

Manifattura del Seveso is the first bookcloth producer worldwide to acquire FSC certification . This is our response to the growing demand of the market, mostly oriented toward ethical, responsible and sustainable purchase decisions.

Environment and Certifications

After achieving ISO 9001 standard on ability to satisfy quality requirements and to enhance customer satisfaction, and ISO 14001 certification, that enables us to identify and control the environmental impact of our production, and to improve our environmental performance continually, Manifattura del Seveso is now able to track the orgin of our cellulose backing papers according with FSC standards.

FSC is widely regarded as one of the most important initiatives of the last decade to promote responsible forest management worldwide. FSC chain of custody (CoC) tracks FSC certified material through the production process, including all successive stages of processing, transformation, manufacturing and distribution.

Our integrated certification system provides us with the framework to set and achieve following objectives and targets:

  • Responsible production process, using only fabrics and papers certified by FSC , ISO 14001
  • Full compliance with European and international environmental regulations
  • Energy, water and waste reduction
  • Continual monitoring on water depuration
